Ondrej Palat broke out of a 13-game goal scoring drought with a pair of tallies in this week's series against the Blue Jackets.

Palat began the week with an assist in each game of the back-to-back at home against Carolina. On Monday, he set up Brayden Point's second period power play goal, throwing a puck to the front of the net that Point deflected past Petr Mrazek. One night later, Palat hooked up with Point again, this time feeding him on the rush for a goal that got Tampa Bay back within two late in the second period.

Having gone 13 games without scoring a goal, Palat put an end to that streak with the game-winner on Thursday night against the Blue Jackets. Alex Killorn grabbed the rebound off Erik Cernak's initial shot and fed Palat, who slipped a shot past Elvis Merzlikins at the far post to give the Bolts the lead for good midway through the third.
Palat's best performance of the week came in Sunday's series finale against Columbus. He opened the scoring in the first, taking Point's feed from below the goal line and firing a shot over Joonas Korpisalo's shoulder and follwed that up with assists on each of the Lightning's next two goals.
Palat led Tampa Bay with six points (2G, 4A) last week and is now riding a five-game point streak that dates back to April 17.
