Past participants of the Bolt Run can sign up starting on Monday, August 14, while new runners can sign up beginning on Friday, August 18.

Each registered participant will receive a free ticket to a select Lightning game. Participants will have the ability to select from a list of available Bolts home games. Game choice for tickets is on a first come, first serve basis and is subject to availability.

The Bolt Run features three separate classifications of races which participants may enter. The five-mile and 5K races will each begin at 7:30 a.m. The one-mile race will feature a start time of 7:45 a.m. and will wrap up the day's festivities. All three races will begin and end at AMALIE Arena, while the pre-event and post-event parties will be held on Ford Thunder Alley. Each participant will also receive a race t-shirt, finisher's award and pre- and post-race activities.

New this year for the race is the corporate challenge which will feature opportunities to win prizes. All corporate teams with 25 or more participants will receive special pricing, have their packets dropped off by a Lightning personality, in-game recognition and have their company name displayed on their bibs. This year the corporate challenge will have incentives for the largest team including a photo on the ice.

Both the 5K and five-mile race feature chip timing and results that will be posted on the Lightning's official website within 24 hours of the conclusion of the race. Awards for the five-mile and 5K will be distributed to the top runners, male and female, in each age category. Every race participant will receive a finisher's medal.

Participants are encouraged to register early at www.tampabaylightning.com/boltrun and to pick up their race packets prior to the day of the event. Packet pick-up location will be announced at a later date but will take place on Thursday, October 19.
