On Saturday, September 10th, the LA Kings kicked off their season with their annual 5K race. Over 1300 runners, walkers, and bikers came out to support the foundation and participate in the event. Daryl Evans served as host for the festivities, which brought together players, fans, and South Bay locals for an exciting morning of fitness and fundraising in support of Kings Care Foundation.
In addition to the LA Kings 5K, the Hydrocephalus Association hosted their annual walk which has raised over $1 million since 2014. This year the 5K brought in nearly $100,000 in support of the Kings Care Foundation.

Current LA Kings players including Matt Roy, Adrian Kempe, Sean Durzi, Jaret Anderson-Dolan, Anze Kopitar, Adrian Kempe, Sean Durzi, and Jaret Anderson-Dolan were there to help support the cause. Other Kings alumni, the Ice Crew, HD Street Team and Bailey were also there to join in the festivities. This was the second year being back in person since the COVID-19 Pandemic and was the first time the event has been completely sold out. Participants also had access to the vendor village which had giveaways as well as food and refreshments.
Top finishers were also awarded LA Kings swag and every participant received two tickets to a 2022-23 LA Kings Home Game.
