WINNIPEG, Oct. 6, 2026 – The Winnipeg Jets will raise awareness and support for Toba Centre for Children & Youth at their fifth annual Child Advocacy Game on Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes. Throughout Child Abuse Awareness Month, the Jets will partner with Toba Centre to share resources, tools and events with Manitobans on how to support children and families impacted by abuse and prevent child abuse and neglect.
Fans are encouraged to #GoBlueToba and wear blue at the Child Advocacy Game, where Toba Centre’s “helping hounds” DWW Duke, DWW Booster and DWW Jelly will drop the puck at centre ice. The helping hounds, who support the youth and families who attend the centre, will also be on the concourse with the Toba Centre team at October home games to share resources with fans.
Fans can support the cause Oct. 17 by purchasing an Adam Lowry-signed Toba Centre puck at Jets Gear, with all proceeds going to Toba Centre. Fans can also buy a Cocktail or Mocktail in Blue with $1 from every beverage going back to support their work.
The first 5,000 fans at the Child Advocacy Game will receive a Kids Charm Bracelet featuring the jersey of Jets captain, Adam Lowry who has served as a Toba Centre ambassador and dedicated advocate for the past six years. This Thursday, Oct. 8 Lowry will co-host Toba Centre’s fifth annual gala, A Night in Blue, with local radio personality Ace Burpee at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. Since 2022, the event has raised more than $685,000 for Toba Centre, allowing more youth and families impacted by abuse to receive the support they need. More information and tickets are available at tobacentre.ca/a-night-in-blue-2026.
Toba Centre’s team and support dogs will be at the following Jets home games in October to connect with fans and share resources: Oct. 7 vs. Colorado, Oct. 9 vs. Anaheim, Oct. 13 vs. Minnesota, Oct. 17 at the Child Advocacy Game vs. Carolina, Oct. 25 at the 2026 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic vs. Montreal and Oct. 27 vs. Florida.
