Matt Martin joined the team for Monday's practice after missing five consecutive games with an upper-body injury. While Martin was placed on IR retroactive to Nov. 15, the forward is eligible to return to action as soon as he’s fully healthy. Head Coach Lane Lambert said his status for Tuesday's matchup against the New Jersey Devils is yet to be determined.

"He practiced today and we'll see how he feels from there," Lambert said on Monday.

Martin has two points (1G, 1A) through 14 games this season, while recording 31 hits over that span.

Cal Clutterbuck and Simon Holmstrom did not skate with the team on Monday. Lambert said they are both sick and considered day-to-day.

Clutterbuck has six points (2G, 4A) through 20 games, while Holmstrom has five goals through 19 games.

Aho has four assists and seven blocks through 19 games this season.

Mike Reilly skated with the Islanders for the first time on Monday after getting claimed off waivers by the team on Saturday. The 30-year-old defenseman donned #2.
