About the Recipients
The SPCA of Wake County is dedicated to creating a more humane community where every adoptable animal has a home. In addition, the SPCA of Wake County provides education about responsible pet ownership and hopes to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs. The SPCA of Wake County is a no-kill shelter and takes in over 3,400 animals a year. For more information, please click here.
Second Chance Pet Adoptions is the oldest no-kill rescue in Wake County. Second Chance’s mission is to champion homeless cats and dogs who are healthy or treatable in the quest to find a home and engage the community to promote responsible pet ownership and reduce future generations of homeless animals. Saving Grace partners with shelters with extremely limited resources where euthanasia rates are high across North Carolina to find adoptable dogs that just need a ‘second chance.’ We also take a lot of dogs in need of critical care or in dire situations from them as well.
