Anytime at team wins the Stanley Cup Championship, the members of that team are bonded for life by their success. What made the 2003 team so successful was harmony and full commitment the members of the team had to working together as one.

"You talk about a team winning a Stanley Cup. That's what I remember most about 2003," Chico Resch, former Devils player and broadcaster during the 2003 Stanley Cup Final remembered. "You look right from top to bottom, the balanced scoring, the defensive core was scoring as well as the offense, the goaltending was great."

Some members of the 2003 Stanley Cup Championship team reunited digitally over Zoom to discuss the victory.

If you ask these champions to think back to their celebrations, there are some stories that stand out more than others. One of which involves Turner Stevenson, his gear, and celebrating without the Stanley Cup that Scott Gomez started to tell before Stevenson himself took over.

"We're probably the only team to win the Stanley Cup in game seven and we didn't even party with [the Cup] that night. There was a second night that we even got crazy with it but yeah, Turner had his gear on the whole time."

"Yeah up til the bar, we got to the bar. I had to take it off then I stunk so bad. And I took it off when we got into the bar," explained Stevenson. But his night was only getting started when he got to the bar. At the team's victory celebration, there were two important things missing the team needed to celebrate properly - booze and the Stanley Cup.

"After Lou had no booze, I won't blame Lou, but Larry [Robinson] helped me raid all the booze so we had to do that upstairs and then when we got there everyone's waiting for me to bring the Cup in and I was one of the last to leave, it was like 3 or 4 in the morning, and Lou goes, 'yeah you're not going anywhere with that.' So the guys, we had no Stanley Cup that night" explained Stevenson.

"The best part was the announcement at the bar when everyone was waiting for it, they had to make an announcement that the Stanley Cup would be here tomorrow night," Gomez said.

Mike Rupp also shared one of his most vivid celebrations stories involving Colin White, White's dad and Madison Square Garden.

"We were going out for Dave Letterman and we all had our separate limos adn in the limo that I was in was Whitey and his pops. I remember his dad, I couldn't get over his dad calling him Whitey, he was referring to his son as Whitey," laughed Rupp. "And then we're going through the city and I'm green for all of this, you know, this is unbelievable being a part of it. We pull up in the city and I remember Whitey's like 'Stop the car, stop the car' and they stop it and all of sudden Whitey and his dad jump out. And I'm like, 'where are we?' And we look, these two go on top of MSG's steps with the Cup and they're holding it over their heads, chanting everybody that's walking by. They're like telling all the Rangers fans "take a good look, this is the closest you're ever going to get.'"
