Happy Friday, Devils fans!
We're still awaiting an announcement on the 20-21 season, but while we're waiting we're still covering the Devils at NewJerseyDevils.com. And behind the scenes, a lot of hardworking humans are planning and creating, getting ready for hockey whenever it comes back. This week, we had a very interesting podcast and some updates on the club's prospects. Let's take a look.

Shakir Mukhamadullin and Arseni Gritsyuk are representing Russia. Alexander Holtz is going for Sweden. Dawson Mercer is with Team Canada, while Patrick Moynihan is with the Americans. And Jaromir Pytlik is with Czech Republic.

THE WEEK AHEAD

Here are some big dates in Devils history for the next week as compiled by Amanda Stein.
December 19
2005 - Larry Robinson announces that he will be stepping aside from coaching due to health reasons. Robinson ended his coaching career in New Jersey having coach 173 games with an 87-56-19-11 record, and of course the 2000 Stanley Cup Championship.
December 20
2005 - Devils then-general manager Lou Lamoriello steps behind the bench for the first time after Robinson resigns. He would coach the final 50 games of the season with a 32-14-4 record.
December 21
2013 - Defenseman Andy Greene scores an overtime goal against Washington; his second OT goal of the season.
He became just the third defenseman in team history to record two-or-more overtime goals in a season. (Scott. Niedermayer, four OT winners in 2001-02 and two in the 2002-03 season, as well as Johnny Oduya's two OT winners in 2008-09)
December 23
2010 - Jacques Lemaire returns to the New Jersey Devils as head coach. Lemaire coached the Devils to a 29-17-3 record in his third stint as Devils head coach.
December 25
1968
- Jim Dowd's birthday, he would later become the first player in team history to be both born and raised in the state to play for the Devils.
