Washington Capitals players Alex Ovechkin and Braden Holtby have each been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports 2019 award. Voting is currently open at

Kids' Choice Sports 2019 will be taped on Thursday, July 11, from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., and premiere Saturday, Aug. 10, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

Both Ovechkin and Holtby are nominees in the 'Favorite Hockey Player' category. In addition, Holtby is also nominated in the 'Hands of Gold' category.
