Arlington, Va. - The Washington Capitals and The Wharf announced today the Capitals Winter at the Wharf, taking place Dec. 8 through Feb. 25.

Throughout the duration of Capitals Winter at The Wharf, there will be three Capitals Igloos located outside of Cantina Bambina. The 12-foot-wide igloos featuring hockey net entrances are open to the public for a unique hockey-themed experience and drink specials. The individual igloos are Capitals-themed with the team's core logo, Blue W and screaming eagle. The igloos each fit up to four guests and will be open for the public to enjoy when the Wharf Ice Rink is open. Guests can check out fun games at the Wharf Ice Rink Skate shop and drinks and snacks can be purchased at the Cantina Bambina concession window.

In addition, The Wharf Ice Rink on Transit Pier will feature the Capitals, with Capitals rink panels and a Capitals-themed ice resurfacer. There also will be Capitals and Rock the Rink branding throughout the surrounding area.
At The Wharf Ice Rink, the Capitals will host two Rock the Rink Skates and away-game viewing parties, featuring giveaways, Capitals-themed beverages, and a DJ. Rock the Rink and Viewing Party dates include Jan. 11 and Feb. 11. The Capitals visit the Philadelphia Flyers on Jan. 11 and visit the Boston Bruins on Feb. 11. On Jan. 11, the skate will take place 6-10 p.m., with the game at 7 p.m. On Feb. 11, the skate will take place from 2-6 p.m., with the game at 3:30 p.m. During the viewing parties, fans will be able to watch the Capitals games on a jumbotron at The Wharf.

Fans who attend a Rock the Rink Skate in Capitals jerseys or gear will receive $5 off rink admission.

In addition, the Capitals and Jack Daniel's also recently announced holiday programming at The Wharf featuring a Jack Daniel's Barrel Tree.
Through Dec. 31, a 35-foot-high Jack Daniel's Barrel Tree will be on display at The Wharf on Market Pier.

Throughout the holiday programming, Jack Daniel's will be fundraising for Operation Ride Home, a program that brings junior military members home for the holidays. This year, barrels from the Jack Daniel's Barrel Trees will be sold for purchase, with all proceeds going to Operation Ride Home.
