The Canucks play their third of a six game road trip. Vancouver will also face PHI (Nov. 25), PIT (Nov. 27) and EDM (Nov. 30). Today's game is presented by Toyota Pacific.

  • The Canucks and Capitals conclude their season series tonight. Vancouver lost the first meeting in the shootout by a score of 6-5 on Oct. 25.
  • Vancouver is 2-7-1 in their last 10 games vs WSH (1-3-1 in the last 5).


  • Brock Boeser enters tonight's game on a 3-game scoring streak (2-2-4). He has also collected 9 points (3-6-9) in the last 10 games.
  • Tanner Pearson has scored six points (3-3-6) in the last five games.
  • Elias Pettersson enters play tonight with 22 points (5-17-22) in his last 16 games.
  • JT Miller has 14 points (5-9-14) over his past 15 games.

Brock Boeser got the Canucks on the board at 5:33 in the first on the power play to tie the game 1-1...Tim Schaller netted two goals on the night, tying a career high...Elias Pettersson and Jake Virtanen each notched a goal to give the Canucks a 5-2 lead heading into the third...Alex Edler blocked five shots...Jacob Markstrom faced 29 shots.

Elias Pettersson (1-2-3) and Quinn Hughes (0-3-3) led Canucks skaters in scoring...Bo Horvat played in his 400th career game and collected two points (1-1-2)...Brock Boeser, JT Miller and Tanner Pearson each collected a goal...Alex Edler set a Canucks season high for blocked shots (7)...the Canucks went 5/6 on the power play...Jacob Markstrom faced 48 shots, tying a career high.

Bo Horvat appeared in his 400th career game Nov. 21/19 at NSH, registering 1-1-2. Only six players from the 2013 NHL Draft class have played 400 or more games. He ranks tied for fifth in his draft class in scoring (106-134-240). Since the 2013.14 season, Bo Horvat has won 4037 face-offs, ranking 19th in the League.


On Nov. 16/19 vs COL, Bo Horvat registered 26 wins in the face-off circle, tying for second most a Canuck has won in a single regular season game (Mark Messier had 26 on Mar. 2/98 vs LA). The Canucks record stands at 28, which was also established by Messier on Jan. 8/99 vs FLA. Travis Green holds the League record with 33 wins, which took place on Nov. 8/97 vs CHI.

In 2019.20, Horvat ranks 1st in the NHL in face-off wins (290), 2nd in even strength face-off wins (203) and and first in power play face- off wins (76). Jay Beagle ranks second in the League for shorthanded face-off wins (46).


Pettersson recorded his 90th career point on Nov. 14/19 vs DAL, becoming the second quickest Canuck to achieve the feat, doing so in his 91st career game. Pavel Bure is the quickest Canuck to reach 90 career points, achieving the feat in 86 games.

Pettersson now sits at 94 points through 94 games. The quickest a Canuck has reached 100 points was 96 games, achieved by Pavel Bure.


On Nov. 8/19 at WPG, Brandon Sutter appeared in his 700th career game, becoming the 105th active player to reach this feat. He also became the ninth player from the 2007 Draft class to reach 700 games and sixth member of the Sutter family to reach 700 or more games.


Vancouver scored five-plus goals in four consecutive games (Oct. 22-30) - the 2nd time in 20 years. The last time the Canucks accomplished the feat was March 6-24/2000. An 8-game streak marks the club record when scoring five or more from Feb. 27-Mar. 21/1983 .

The team recorded five third-period goals (Oct. 22/19 at DET) for the sixth time in franchise history and first since Apr. 15/93 at
LA. The franchise record for team goals in any period is six, accomplished on two occasions: Jan. 21/06 vs MTL and Jan. 16/87 vs CGY.


On Nov. 21/19 at NSH, Vancouver scored five power-play goals in a game for the first time since Nov. 6, 2011 (6-2 W at CHI); the franchise record for most in a game is six, a mark set Oct. 7, 1983 (10-9 W vs. MNS) and matched March 1, 1992 (11-0 W vs. CGY).


Brock Boeser scored the third hat trick of his career on Oct. 30/19 in Los Angeles. With an added assist (3-1-4), Boeser recorded a four-point game for the fourth time in his NHL career. He is the fifth player in franchise history to have three or more three-goal games before the age of 23 (behind Pavel Bure - 5, Tony Tanti - 4).
