"We're... We're going streaking! We're going up the quad and to the gymnasium."

Frank the Tank, aka Will Ferrell, was a big fan of streaking in Old School, and so are Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson.

Although the Vancouver Canucks dropped Game 3 Sunday night 3-2 in overtime, Hughes and Pettersson continued their sizzling play extending individual point streaks to six games. Since the Canucks were shutout by the Minnesota Wild in the opening game of the Stanley Cup Playoff Qualifying series, Hughes has a goal and eight assists in his last six games; the 20-year-old matched the longest post-season point streak by a rookie defenseman in NHL history, set by Al MacInnis in 1984 and equaled by Zarley Zalapski in 1989.

Hughes' six-game point streak also has him tied with Henrik Sedin for the Canucks franchise record post-season point streak, which Henrik set in 2011. Hughes' stretch pass to set up Bo Horvat's overtime winner in Game 2 was one of his major highlights of late.

VAN@STL, Gm2: Horvat wins it in OT with second goal

Hughes is the third rookie defenceman in NHL history with nine points through his first seven career playoff games, joining Ray Bourque (Bruins in 1980) and Gary Suter (Flames in 1986).

Elite.

Joining Hughes during his six-game streak is Pettersson, who has four goals and five assists during that stretch. Both Hughes and Pettersson are tied for the longest point streak of the 2020 playoffs.

It won't surprise you to learn that Hughes and Pettersson's nine points each are the most in the first seven playoff games to start a career in Canucks history.

Heading into Monday's action, Sebastian Aho leads the NHL with 10 points, followed by McDavid, Pettersson & Hughes with nine each, with Horvat a point behind at eight.

J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser are tied for fourth in Canucks scoring right now with seven points, but while Boeser has spread his contributions throughout both the Wild and Blues series (three vs. Minnesota, four vs. St. Louis), Miller is also on a point streak with two goals and three helpers in his last four outings, three against the Blues.
