Day three of development camp was similar to day two with on-ice skills and time in the weight room, and twice as many spectators as Sunday's camp.
The day kicked off with guest skills coach Allie LaCombe leading edge work and focusing on the details that can take a player from good to great.
Forward Josh Bloom, drafted in 2021 and acquired in a trade with Buffalo last season, said he's trying to soak up as much information as possible throughout this week, mentioning LaCombe's practice was helpful.
"She was working on our outside edges there and I had a tough time on one of the stops and she gave me a tip. It was a good session for all of us," Bloom said.
Bloom has attended other development camps throughout his time in the OHL and says comparably the skills taught are similar, and this offseason he's focusing on his wall play.
"I have a tough time getting the puck off the wall, so I go some good tips there from the Sedins. I'm looking to make plays off the wall and getting explosive off the wall," he said.
Defenceman Elias Pettersson is focusing on his mobility and speed this offseason and making sure he's comfortable on the ice. He was at last year's camp and feels more comfortable with this being his second time around.
"It [day three] has been a fun day so far, nice to be back here with the boys," he said.
The forwards wrapped up their session around noon and headed to the weight room and the defencemen finished their on-ice work shortly after 1 p.m.
Day four is set for Tuesday, July 4 at the University of British Columbia.
