WHAT is CBJHAC?
The CBJ Hockey Analytics Conference (CBJHAC) is a two-day conference that will showcase state-of-the-art research happening in the hockey analytics community and explore the use of data-driven analysis being done by industry professionals today.
Day 1 will feature presentations from some of the brightest minds in hockey analytics and industry professionals as well as discussions with NHL executives who are applying data-driven research in the game today.
There will also be the opportunity to attend a Columbus Blue Jackets game at the end of the Saturday conference.
Day 2 will be a data contest where participants will be asked to tackle a hockey-related problem using data provided by Sportlogiq. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for the most creative minds in the hockey analytics community to present their work and engage in discussions with executives from multiple NHL teams, including the Columbus Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers, NHL Seattle, St. Louis Blues and Vegas Golden Knights.
The challenge at hand: come up with creative solutions to the types of problems NHL teams are confronted with every day. Those who participate will also have the chance to present their analysis and application of hockey-specific data to a panel of NHL executives and industry professionals.
Day 2 will be invite-only based on participant submissions.
