ROSTER-MOVE-CLENDENING

The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Adam Clendening from the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Clendening, 26, has recorded three shots and a +1 plus/minus rating in four games with the Blue Jackets this season. Signed by Columbus as a free agent to a one-year, two-way NHL/AHL contract on July 1, 2018, he has posted 4-20-24, 49 penalty minutes and a +11 plus/minus rating in 90 career NHL contests with the Blue Jackets, Arizona Coyotes, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks.
The Niagara Falls, New York native ranks eighth among AHL defensemen in assists (tied) and penalty minutes and leads the Monsters in assists, penalty minutes and plus/minus rating with 4-33-37, 98 penalty minutes and a +18 plus/minus rating in 45 appearances this season. He has tallied 32-166-198, 365 penalty minutes and a +49 plus/minus rating in 306 career AHL games from 2012-19. The 6-0, 194-pound blueliner was selected by Chicago in the second round, 36th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft.
