SEAN KURALY IN THE COMMUNITY

Sean Kuraly is not just a Columbus Blue Jacket… he is a Columbus kid. He grew up here. He lives here.

Sean cares deeply about Columbus, which is why he is committed to causes that help those in need in our community. In 2021, he returned home to play for the team that he cheered for and dreamed of playing for as a kid. He also returned to have a positive impact on others.

VAN BUREN CENTER FAMILY SHELTER VISIT

Recently, Sean Kuraly toured the Van Buren Center Family Shelter to see firsthand how the team's support of the Community Shelter Board is providing critical resources to families facing homelessness as we work to help them resolve their housing crisis and return to stable housing. Sean also spent time visiting with families staying at the Van Buren Center.

Community Shelter Board leads a coordinated, community effort to make sure everyone has a place to call home. Operated by the YMCA of Central Ohio, and fully funded by Community Shelter Board, Van Buren Center Family Shelter last year served 518 family households, including 1,079 children and 57 expectant mothers. Through the Blue Jackets Foundation and the team, we continue to partner together in our shared vision to make sure everyone has a place to call home.
