AGAINST VEGAS

The Blackhawks begin a three-game homestand on Sunday evening against the Vegas Golden Knights. It will be the second of three meetings between the clubs this season. Chicago fell to Vegas, 4-3, in a shootout on Dec. 2, 2025 at T-Mobile Arena. Tyler Bertuzzi notched two points (1G, 1A), while Oliver Moore also scored once. Andre Burakovsky and Ryan Greene each logged an assist, while Spencer Knight made 25 saves. Chicago has earned points in five of their last eight games against Vegas at United Center (3-3-2). Bertuzzi has points in five of his last six games against Vegas (4G, 3A) and nine points (5G, 4A) over his last nine games against them.

LAST TIME OUT

The Blackhawks defeated the Washington Capitals, 3-2, in a shootout on Saturday night at Capital One Arena. Ryan Donato and Teuvo Teravainen each scored one goal. Tyler Bertuzzi, Andre Burakovsky and Ilya Mikheyev each logged an assist while Artyom Levshunov led all club skaters with 23:46 of time on ice and recorded two blocked shots. Spencer Knight made 32 saves on 34 shots (.941 SV%) for his 12th win of the season. Nick Foligno scored the shootout-deciding goal, while Nick Lardis also scored in the shootout. Chicago went a perfect 1-for-1 (100%) on the penalty kill and 1-for-2 (50%) on the power play.

Forward Teuvo Teravainen scored a power play goal on Saturday against the Capitals and has goals (3G) in three-straight games. He’s now one goal shy of matching his career-long four-game goal streak (4G) from Feb. 27-March 4, 2018 with Carolina. He now shares fourth on the club with nine goals and ranks fifth with 20 points. Teravainen is currently eight games shy of 800 for his NHL career and would become the 19th Finnish-born skater all-time to hit the milestone.

Goaltender Spencer Knight made 32 saves on 34 shots (.941 SV%) on Saturday against Washington for his 12th win of the season. He’s now earned points in three-straight games (2-0-1). Knight shares third in the league with 760 saves and ranks fifth with 835 shots against this season. He also shares sixth in the league with 29 games played in 2025-26. Saturday against Washington marked the 15th game this season in which he’s logged a .900 SV%-or-higher, which shares ninth in the NHL.

BERT AND ERNIE

Forward Tyler Bertuzzi logged an assist against the Capitals on Saturday and has recorded assists (2A) in back-to-back games. He’s also tallied points (3G, 2A) in four of his last five games. Bertuzzi has now recorded 31 points (19G, 12A) in 38 games in 2025-26 and is now one goal shy of posting his third-straight 20-goal season and the sixth of his NHL career. He also shares first on the team in goals and ranks second in points.

Jan. 4, 1988: The Blackhawks acquired future captain Dirk Graham from the Minnesota North Stars in exchange for Curt Fraser. Graham would record 343 points (152G, 191A) in 546 career games with Chicago and win the Frank. J Selke Trophy as a member of the Blackhawks during the 1990-91 season.
Former Chicago defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk, who won a Stanley Cup with the club in 2015, was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft. He never appeared in a game for Vegas and was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes ahead of the 2017-18 season.
