VANCOUVER, British Columbia--Forward Alex Beaucage was picked by the Colorado Avalanche at No. 78 overall in the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft.
Beaucage, 17, helped the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies win a Memorial Cup championship and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League title during the 2018-19 season. The wing recorded 39 goals and 40 assists in 68 QMJHL regular season games before producing 16 points (five goals and 11 assists) in 16 postseason contests.
