The Minnesota Wild Faceoff For Fitness school assembly program is a great way to energize elementary school students, help them understand the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle, and learn more about the great sport of hockey through a partnership with the Minnesota Wild. The best part is, it's FREE!
Since the program's inception, the Minnesota Wild have visited over 150 schools. To continue the tradition of growing a greater State of Hockey, the Minnesota Wild have pledged to bring Faceoff For Fitness to 20 additional elementary schools throughout the Twin Cities by the end of the 2025–2026 academic year.”
Each Faceoff For Fitness school assembly program will be approximately 30 minutes in length and will feature a visit from a current or former Minnesota Wild player; a current or former women's professional player; Minnesota Wild mascot, Nordy; and a Minnesota Wild in-arena announcer to host the assembly. The Wild will continue its tradition of donating a set of street hockey equipment to each participating school and will give each student a pack of Wild hockey cards, each card featuring a fitness or nutrition tip.
