⭐️STAR OF THE MONTH: NIKO EASLEY⭐️

All it takes is a little inspiration to spark something big and for Niko, that moment came after watching the Dallas Stars take on the Edmonton Oilers. Already familiar with the rink through hockey academy sessions, public skates, and parent-child drop-ins since age 4, Niko hadn’t yet caught the league hockey hype, until he discovered his favorite player, Jake Oettinger. Inspired to step into the crease, Niko joined a 6U team at Plano and suited up as a goalie in his very first game! In his debut spring season, he’s already taken the net in 3 of 5 games and earned two game pucks from his coaches for his standout effort. Way to go, Niko! Looks like “the Otter affect” is real! 🦦💚

⭐️STAR OF THE MONTH: MILES BURKE⭐️

Our very first Star of the Month is Miles Burke! Miles is a first year, 6U skater in the DSMHL. At just five years old, first‑year 6U skater Miles Burke is already making a big impact in DSMHL. As the youngest player on the ice, Miles helped lead his team to a DSMHL Championship and a finalist finish at the President’s Day Tournament. His love for hockey goes far beyond the rink. Each morning starts with checking NHL scores, studying matchups, and planning which games to watch. Off the ice, Miles is constantly skating, shooting, playing street hockey, and even creating his own imaginary NHL games at night, complete with play‑by‑play calls of “He shoots… he scores!” His passion, creativity, and pure joy for the game perfectly capture the spirit of youth hockey, and we’re proud to have Miles as part of the Dallas Stars youth hockey family.

Children's Health StarCenters Set to Launch New Stars Premier Adult Hockey League

The Dallas Stars Children’s Health StarCenters and the Metroplex Christian Hockey Association (MCHA) are pleased to announce a strategic partnership to launch the Stars Premier Adult Hockey League (SPAHL) in September 2024. The SPAHL will feature a competitive format with 15-minute stop-time periods, supported by preferential scheduling, and a 3-official system to ensure a high standard of on-ice conduct. MCHA will continue to offer essential ministry components. To maintain its premium status, the SPAHL will have a limited number of teams. Games will be hosted at the Allen Community Ice Rink and Stars facilities in Valley Ranch, Farmers Branch, Euless, Mansfield, McKinney, Plano, and Richardson. This exciting initiative marks a new chapter in adult hockey, fostering a vibrant community and elevating the sport across the DFW.

Updated: January 2026

It is the goal of all StarCenter and Multisport facilities to remain open and hold all programming as scheduled if it is deemed safe for all customers and staff to do so.

In the event of severe weather, all facilities under StarCenter Properties will follow the delayed start schedule of the ISD in which the facility is located. (For example, if Farmers Branch ISD has a delayed start and opens at 10:00AM, the StarCenter Multisport Farmers Branch will open at 10:00AM.)

If ISD's schools are closed for the day, StarCenter Multisport facilities will be closed for all AM programing and will re-assess the current conditions at 12:00PM to make a determination on programming for the duration of the afternoon and early evening. We will then re-assess conditions again at 5:00PM and make a determination on all nightly programing that is scheduled to begin after 7:00PM.

For all morning events on non-school days, we will assess the conditions before 9:00PM on the day before. We will reassess again in the morning and make a determination before 12:00PM on all afternoon events.

Delayed opening and closing announcements will be posted on the following social channels and websites:
