2018/19 Fall Winter Season of DSMHL - Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Enhancement Bundle?

  • For 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U players, the Enhancement Bundle will include 40 practices (two per week) and one game per week. It provides your child with the greatest opportunity to improve their skill level at a faster rate. The bundle price is a 40% discount off League and Player Enhancement if purchased separately.

How do I find out what my weekly schedule is (practices, games, etc.)?

DSMHL practices begin the week of September 10th. The TENTATIVE practice schedule is available online for each rink. Times may change based on enrollment.

Please contact your StarCenter Rink's Hockey Programs Manager or Coordinator. They will be able to tell you your individual player's schedule, which includes practices Enhancement Program practices and games. To view our Hockey Programs Staff, please CLICK HERE.

What is the DSMHL Combine and why is it mandatory to attend?

  • The DSMHL Combine is an evaluation of players within each specific age group that occurs on one, specific day at your home StarCenter Rink, prior to the start of the DSMHL Fall/Winter season. This evaluation is important because it fairly assesses your child's abilities, allowing us to create a fair-play environment where your child can compete against similarly-skilled opponents. DSMHL Combines are conducted under the watchful eye of the Dallas Stars Xtreme Team and StarCenter Hockey Department.

How do I redeem my vouchers for four Dallas Stars tickets?

  • In late August, the DSMHL page will add a link to redeem your tickets for Youth Hockey Night in Texas on February 23rd and additional Stars games. Customers will be notified via email when this is available.

What is the FlexPass?

  • The FlexPass is a special offer from the Dallas Stars for StarCenter customers. It enables you to purchase a voucher for ten Dallas Stars Upper Terrace tickets for $99. Additionally, there is an option to purchase a FlexPass for Plaza or Platinum Level tickets.

What are the requirements for Parent-Coaches for the 2018-19 DSMHL Season?

  • Bench Coaches will need to be fully compliant with the Dallas Stars / Dr Pepper StarCenters credentialing process. This process includes the following steps:
  1. Pass a Dallas Stars Background Check in the past twenty-four (24) months
  2. Have taken the USA Hockey Safe Sport Module
  3. Provide valid USA Hockey Registration number
  4. Review and submit an executed DSMHL Coaches Code of Conduct packet

How do I get my child's USA Hockey number?

  • You can create a new membership or renew a new one by going to the USA Hockey website: https://www.usahockeyregistration.com. You will need a current USA Hockey number to complete your DSHML registration.
