Fan Safety Guidelines

We have missed you and are thrilled to welcome you back to SAP Center at San Jose!

The health and safety of our guests, athletes, performers, and team members is and has always been our number one priority. As we begin welcoming you back into our venue, you can trust that we have worked closely with state and local health officials to responsibly and thoughtfully implement new safety protocols to provide you not only a safe, but enjoyable experience. Though things will be a bit different than the last time you joined us, we are so pleased to give you a reason to cheer and begin creating more unforgettable memories with you.

Be sure to check back here as information is updated often.

The well-being of our guests and staff is always our top priority, and as we look to return to events, heightened sanitation, health, and safety protocols will be in place at SAP Center at San Jose. The new procedures and processes follow guidelines set forth by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of California's Blueprint for a Safer Economy, and local agencies including the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department.

Please note, upon return to SAP Center, bags and purses will not be permitted. Exceptions include wallet-sized clutches no larger than 5" x 8", bags carrying items that are medical in nature and diaper bags when accompanied by a child who wears diapers.

Unless otherwise dictated by the National Hockey League, the State of California, and/or the County of Santa Clara, facial coverings will be required for all guests and team members at SAP Center at all times, except when actively eating and drinking in a ticketed seat.

Because your safety and well-being is of paramount importance to us, heightened sanitation, health, and safety protocols are already in place at SAP Center at San Jose. The new procedures and processes not only follow all guidelines set forth by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of California's Blueprint for a Safer Economy, and local agencies including the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department, they have also earned SAP Center the highest level of GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation as determined by the world's most respected venue industry cleaning association.

HEALTH CHECK REQUIREMENTS & GENERAL SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Safety for everyone is our highest priority. And, to create the safest possible environment when guests are in attendance at SAP Center events, we have made several changes to the guest experience. Please know that each protocol has been implemented thoughtfully and solely for the safety of our guests and our frontline team members. To help you anticipate these changes, here are some of the new processes and protocols that you will experience. This list will continue to evolve as we work to bring more live events and larger audiences back to SAP Center.

All guests 24 months and older entering SAP Center must provide proof of full vaccination, which is the administration of the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the game that they will be attending OR a negative COVID-19 test result received within 72 hours of the game attending.

COVID-19 testing will be available on-site at SAP Center by appointment on non-gamedays between the hours of 10AM and 4PM PT, all courtesy of Total Testing Solutions. There will be no cost for fans whose tests are administered 48-72 hours prior to the game they plan to attend; the cost for fans wishing to be tested on a gameday is $50 per test.

ADVANCE TESTING (48 - 72 Hours Prior to the Game You Plan to Attend)

Total Testing Solutions, the preferred testing partner of the San Jose Sharks, is offering molecular testing at no cost to fans who are tested 48 - 72 hours prior to the game they are planning to attend. In addition, advance testing through Total Testing Solutions guarantees that you'll have your result in time to get to your seats at the Tank!

Fans wishing to be tested in advance must pre-register with Total Testing Solutions AND schedule an appointment.

Pre-registration and appointment booking capabilities will be available beginning Monday, April 19 and can be found here.

GAMEDAY TESTING (3 Hours Prior to the Start of the Game Until 30 Minutes After Puck Drop)

Total Testing Solutions will provide fans who prefer to wait until gameday to be tested with on-site rapid antigen testing for a discounted cost of $50/test. Results from these tests will be delivered within ten minutes Testing will open three (3) hours prior to puck drop and continue for 30 minutes after the start of the game. Fans being tested on gamedays do not need an appointment; however, they MUST pre-register for this service here.

VACCINATED FANS

Prior to arrival at SAP Center, all ticketed fans who are fully vaccinated, which is defined as the administration of the final dose at least 14 days prior to the date of the game they are planning to attend, can show proof of vaccination in lieu of a negative COVID-19 test result.

To expedite entry, vaccinated fans are encouraged pre-register through Total Testing Solutions by upload an image of their CDC Vaccination Card. Full upload instructions can be found here.

Vaccinated fans are still encouraged to bring their vaccination card or a photo of the card along with their photo ID to be safe.

NEGATIVE TEST VERIFICATION THROUGH TOTAL TESTING SOLUTIONS

Test Results from Total Testing Solutions are guaranteed to be available in LINK, the COVID-19 Platform provided by Total Testing Solutions and utilized by the San Jose Sharks for COVID-19 Vaccine and Test Results verification prior to entry into SAP Center. Upon receipt of test results, ticketed fans will receive a Test Verification link via text message and/or email that will take them to their results.

NEGATIVE TEST VERIFICATION THROUGH ANY OTHER PROVIDER

Fans who utilize a provider other than Total Testing Solutions will still require proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to entry into SAP Center. Ticketed fans with a test from an outside facility MUST pre-register and upload your results here.

Fans with non-Total Testing Solutions test results are required to pre-upload their test results to ensure they can be checked for accuracy and legitimacy by our staff prior to game day.

Regardless of testing provider, on the day of the game, fans will be required to show proof of their negative test result or record of their full vaccination at the check-in locations in Parking Lot A which is adjacent to SAP Center and closest to West Santa Clara Street.

Acceptable methods of verification include:

  • NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST: in the form of a printed document, an email, or text message from the test provider or laboratory including the name of the person tested, type of test performed, date of negative test. The date of a negative PCR Test must be within 72 hours of the game attending and the date of a rapid antigen test must be within 24 hours of the date of the game attending.
  • VACCINATION: Vaccination card, a photo of a vaccination card, a photo of a vaccination card stored on a phone or electronic device, or documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider. All vaccination documentation must show the attendee's name, type of vaccine, and the date of the last dose administered.

Guests who are not tested within 48 hours of the game they are planning to attend and who do not wish to be tested on site at SAP Center on the day of the game must obtain a COVID-19 test and present proof of a negative result for entry into the game. If the test is administered within 24 hours of the game, it may be a rapid antigen one.
