FAQs

All campers must have full hockey equipment as well as experience playing ice hockey. The main component of camp is the on-ice portion.

No, due to the summer arena schedule, all games and practices will be in the BELFOR Training Center.

We will divide teams based on past playing experience and skill level so they are as even as possible. Please be honest when evaluating your skill level. We try to accommodate teams and fulfill requests to be on same team for friends or family members registering for camp.

Helmet, Skates, Stick, Pants, Shin Pads, Elbow Pads, Cup, (shoulders optional)

It will be varying skill, but each team will be balanced based on experience and playing history. B/C level should be expected.

Yes, this is a no-check tournament with an emphasis on camaraderie and fun.

Yes, you may bring one guest for an additional fee of $350.

  • Transportation to and from hotel
  • Food & drinks
  • Access to watch all camp activities, practices and games 

Guests will not have access to:

  • Additional hotel room
  • Camp apparel
  • Participation in any game or practice

Yes, the hotel room is yours for two nights of camp. 

Yes, the hotel room is part of your package. We will have transportation to and from the hotel and recommend staying downtown. You are not required to stay at the hotel but there will be no discount if you don't.

No, but there is no discount if you miss individual events.

Friends and family can only attend the championship game on the last day of Fantasy Camp.

Friends and family are NOT allowed access to the locker rooms, benches or Fantasy Camp facilities. This access is only for campers and paid guests. Family and friends will be escorted from the building if this policy is not respected.

Events at Little Caesars Arena include food and drinks throughout camp. For events away from Little Caesars Arena (ex. Tigers game), you are responsible for your own tab, unless told otherwise by camp staff.  

Yes, the Red Wings alumni and coaches will attend as many events as they can throughout the weekend. There are a few scheduling conflicts, but for the most part, they will be at all events.

Yes, participants in the 2019 camp will have first access to the next Fantasy Camp.

There will be two goalies on each team.

No, but we will try our best to have alumni skate with different teams each day of camp.
