2019-20 Season Acceptance Timeframe: September 18, 2019 - March 20, 2020


Autographs for a Cause is a program to support charitable causes close to the hearts of current Detroit Red Wings players in partnership with the Detroit Red Wings Foundation. Through this program, fans are invited to send memorabilia through the mail for our players to autograph in exchange for a donation to benefit the player's charity of choice.

Accepted Submission Items:

  • Hockey Cards
  • Photos (8"x10" or smaller)
  • NEW FOR 2019-20 SEASON Hockey Pucks

All Autographs for a Cause cards and photos must display Red Wings players in uniform or at an appropriate Red Wings event. Additionally, each autograph is provided at the discretion of the individual player. Submissions mailed outside of the 2019-20 Acceptance Timeframe will be returned unsigned.


 

Fans who wish to participate in the Autographs for a Cause program should follow these step-by-step instructions:
 

  • STEP ONE: Complete online, Autographs for a Cause Request Form. Packages that do not include the Reference Number provided upon completion of this form will be returned unsigned.

  • STEP TWO: Provide no more than two (2) hockey cards, pucks, or photos (8"x10" or smaller) and a self-addressed, prepaid return package. Please note that a maximum of two (2) items per participating player, per mailing address will be accepted each season. Items exceeding the limit will be returned unsigned.
     
  • STEP THREE: Mail submission to the following address:

DISCLAIMER: Although reasonable precautions will be taken, neither the Detroit Red Wings nor the Detroit Red Wings Foundation is responsible for lost or damaged items. Please allow a minimum of eight (8) weeks for items to be autographed. Any submitted items deemed to be beyond the intended scope of this program will be returned to sender unsigned.

No, only Detroit Red Wings players listed on the active roster are currently participating in the Autographs for a Cause program at this time.

Yes, participants may be added or removed at any point during the season.

Black or silver permanent markers will be used to sign autographs. Unless otherwise noted, marker colors will be used at the discretion of the player. Additional color requests can be included on a note sent in with item(s) submissions, but these requests cannot be guaranteed.
