Wilson of Capitals to have hearing with Player Safety

Forward faces discipline from NHL for boarding against Blais of Blues @NHLdotcom

Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Tuesday for boarding against St. Louis Blues forward Sam Blais.

The incident occurred at 17:39 of the second period of the preseason game at Scottrade Center on Sunday. Wilson received a five-minute major penalty for boarding and a 10-minute misconduct. 

The Capitals defeated the Blues 4-3.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: boarding. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
