Situation Room: Ovechkin's PPG stands after challenge

At 16:15 of the third period in the Capitals/Lightning game, Tampa Bay requested a Coach's Challenge to review whether Washington's Nicklas Backstrom interfered with Andrei Vasilevskiy prior to Alex Ovechkin's goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with the Referees, the Situation Room confirmed that the incidental contact between Backstrom and Vasilevskiy occurred in the white ice and did not constitute goaltender interference.
Therefore, the original call stands - good goal Washington Capitals.
Since the Coach's Challenge did not result in the original call being overturned, the Tampa Bay Lightning forfeit their time-out.
