Video review determined that Toronto's Nikita Soshnikov kicked the stick of Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen, which caused the puck to enter the Dallas net. The decision was made in accordance with Rule 49.2, which states, in part, that "A goal cannot be scored by an attacking player who kicks any equipment (stick, glove, helmet, etc.) at the puck."
