Jamie Hersch and Kathryn Tappen on PWHL game

On Monday, in celebration of Women’s History Month, NHL Network presented a special edition of "NHL Tonight" which featured an all-women’s broadcast crew before the PWHL matchup between PWHL New York and PWHL Boston at UBS Arena.

Kathryn Tappen and Jamie Hersch co-hosted the show at the arena, before Hersch took on the play-by-play duties for the game broadcast.

During the pregame show, the duo interviewed some of women’s hockey's biggest names including Katie Million (Director of Women’s National Team Programs), Madison Packer (PWHL New York forward), Jessie Eldridge (PWHL New York forward), Courtney Kessel (PWHL Boston head coach) and Danielle Marmer (PWHL Boston general manager).

NHL Network has been producing fully-female broadcasts since 2018, but Monday marked the first all-women program to originate remotely.
