At 9:33 of the first period in the Lightning/Predators game, the Situation Room initiated a video review to further examine a play that occurred at 9:11 (prior to Calle Jarnkrok's shot entering the Tampa Bay net at 9:33). Video review determined that Viktor Arvidsson's shot at 9:11 completely crossed the Tampa Bay goal line. According to Rule 38.6 "In the event that a video replay shows a goal was scored prior to the play being stopped, the Video Goal Judge will inform the Game Timekeeper and Official Scorer of the time and the amount of playing time left to be reset on the game clock and penalty time clocks (if applicable)."

Since Arvidsson's shot entered the Tampa Bay net prior to when Jarnkrok's did, Jarnkrok's goal at 9:33 is disallowed. According to Rule 78.6 "Only one goal can be awarded at any stoppage of play." Therefore the clock is reset to show 10:49 (9:11 elapsed time) and good goal Nashville.
