If the Arkells need another guitar player for their August gig near Niagara Falls, they might want to consider adding Buffalo Sabres forward Ryan O'Reilly to their act.

The Canadian indie-rock band had O'Reilly help promote their concert at Artpark in Lewiston, New York, on Aug. 19, and hinted that O'Reilly may join them onstage to perform during the show.

Tweet from @arkellsmusic: Arkells at @ArtparkNY. August 19. Here's @BuffaloSabres' Ryan O'Reilly's audition tape for the gig .Tix:

O'Reilly, who has become more musically inclined during his tenure in Buffalo, joined Arkells frontman Max Kerman to play guitar and sing along to the band's 2014 hit "Leather Jacket."

Atlas Genius, an Australian indie band, will be be opening for Arkells, making for a great night even if O'Reilly isn't there to perform.
