Pirates wear Penguins jerseys

Looks like the Pittsburgh Pirates have mastered the arrrr-t of the hockey jersey.

The MLB team showed support for their cross-town friends on Monday ahead of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round, rocking Pittsburgh Penguins jerseys as they hit the road for their next contest.

While the Pirates are heading to Texas for a three-game series against the (not New York) Rangers, the Penguins are staying home at PPG Paints Arena to take on the Philadelphia Flyers later Monday (7 p.m. ET; ESPN, SN360, TVAS2, SN-PIT, NBCSP).

The Pirates aren’t the only Pittsburgh team supporting the Penguins throughout their run.

Before Game 1 on Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers players in attendance got the crowd hyped up before puck drop.

The Flyers won the first game 3-2 to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

The Pirates will be out of town for Game 2, but it sure looks like the Penguins have them hooked.
