ST. PAUL, Minn. -- James van Riemsdyk scored two goals, including the game-winner with 4:29 remaining, and the Philadelphia Flyers won for the 10th time in 12 games with a 5-4 victory against the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday.

Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier each had a goal and an assist for Philadelphia (26-24-7), and Anthony Stolarz made 35 saves.
"Tonight we struggled a little bit out of the gate, a couple penalties here and there and I gave up some softies," Stolarz said. "But to be able to battle back like that is what we're going to need the rest of the year if we want to make a push at the end of the year."

Luke Kunin scored twice, and Jared Spurgeon had a goal and two assists for Minnesota (27-24-5), which is 1-4-2 in its past seven games. Devan Dubnyk made 21 saves.
Ivan Provorov gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead 2:54 into the first period with a shot from the point that deflected off Wild defenseman Nick Seeler.

The Wild have allowed the first goal 38 times this season, most in the NHL.
Zach Parise tied it 1-1 with a 5-on-3 power-play goal when he converted a pass from Mikael Granlund at 8:58.
Kunin gave the Wild a 2-1 lead with an unassisted goal at 10:45 and then made it 3-1 at 13:28.
Van Riemsdyk deflected in a shot from Wayne Simmonds on the power play at 8:42 of the second period to make it 3-2.
Couturier tied it 3-3 with his 24th goal of the season at 13:57 of the second period.
"We've been through a lot this year and when things are not going as well as we like, we find a way to get some positive and take one shift at a time and try to bounce back," Couturier said. "Tonight, that's kind of the game we played. It was tough at times, but one line or the other was trying to get momentum back and overall it was a good effort by everyone."
Spurgeon gave the Wild a 4-3 lead at 2:06 of the third period after video review determined the puck crossed the goal line before bouncing out of the net.
But the Flyers rallied when Giroux tied the game 4-4 with a slap shot at 6:30, and van Riemsdyk scored his second of the game off a rebound at 15:31 for the 5-4 final.

"[It's] tough to explain," Parise said. "[It] can't happen. I don't know. … Right now, we can't afford to be giving up … to be up 3-1 and give that up right now, we don't have that luxury in the standings so that's a tough one for us to lose."

They said it

"As a coach, there's different wins or games that you have during the course of the season that are real gut checks and how your team responds. ... When the team comes in and does what they did after a heartbreaking (4-1) loss (against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday), … to find a way to dig ourselves out of a hole, as a coach, that's a real proud moment to be a part of. That's what I told the players: nobody quit and we just stayed with it. They deserved it." -- Flyers coach Scott Gordon

Dunkin' NHL Comebacks: Flyers stun Wild

"It's happened all year. I don't know if you can count on both hands how many times in the third period it's been tied and we take a penalty and they score in the last seven minutes, eight minutes, or they've scored in the last five minutes on a tied game. I find it mindboggling." -- Wild coach Bruce Boudreau
