Penguins to receive championship belt from WWE again

The Pittsburgh Penguins' second straight Stanley Cup victory will result in another special gift from World Wrestling Entertainment.
Wrestler Triple H, also WWE's executive vice president, talent, live events and creative, tweeted a photo Monday of another custom championship belt the Penguins will receive as a prize for becoming the first team to win the Cup in consecutive seasons since the Detroit Red Wings in 1997 and '98.

The Penguins won the Cup for the fifth time in their history with a 2-0 win against the Nashville Predators in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final on Sunday. They
received a championship belt from WWE last spring
, partially as a nod to their "HBK Line" of Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino and Phil Kessel. That line helped Pittsburgh through the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs and past the San Jose Sharks in the Cup Final.
The Penguins may have had a wrestling tie-in last season, with "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels joining the bandwagon, but WWE started giving championship belts to teams in 2015. The Chicago Blackhawks were the first NHL team to earn one after their six-game series win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Penguins will take the belt, but won't be letting the Cup out of their sight anytime soon.
