New Jersey Devils forward Jiri Tlusty had surgery Friday to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist and is expected to miss 3-4 months, general manager Ray Shero said Saturday.
Tlusty signed a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Devils in September. The 27-year-old has two goals and two assists in 30 games; he has not played since Jan. 8.

Tlusty, the 13th pick in the 2006 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, has 89 goals and 88 assists in 446 NHL games with the Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes, Winnipeg Jets and Devils.
The Devils, who have won three in a row, play at the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; SN, MSG+, MSG+ 2).
