Goaltending dominated the conversation on the "NHL @TheRink" podcast this week.

Kevin Woodley, who writes the "Unmasked" column for NHL.com and is a managing partner for "In Goal Magazine," joined co-hosts Dan Rosen and Shawn P. Roarke on Thursday for an extended interview about the position that could be the most fascinating to watch in the run-up to the 2022 NHL Trade Deadline on March 21.
Woodley discussed Marc-Andre Fleury, the Vezina Trophy winner last season, and where he could fit in best if the Chicago Blackhawks decide to trade him.
He also gave perspective to the goaltending situations with the Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanche and Washington Capitals. Woodley said if Fleury is traded to the Avalanche it would require an adjustment on his part because they don't give up as many chances as other teams.
Woodley discussed a concerning trend with Florida Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, offered his opinion on who should be the Vezina Trophy favorite at this point in the season, praised Thatcher Demko of the Vancouver Canucks and talked about the challenge Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask is facing in jumping into the NHL midseason.
Rosen and Roarke also debated Toronto Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe's comments after a 6-3 loss to the New York Rangers on Wednesday. Keefe said his team played "soft and purposeless," and the co-hosts wondered if that was the best move from the coach.
They also discussed the job Kent Hughes has in front of him as the new general manager of the Montreal Canadiens and why it's a daunting task.
Rosen and Roarke debated if the Panthers need to add a player before the trade deadline and if that should be Dallas Stars defenseman John Klingberg.
