Some NHL players have used their bye weeks to soak up sun or get away from hockey, but Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Desjardins decided to use his time off to take his 2-year-old son for his first attempt at outdoor hockey.

Ames Desjardins put on his little skates and helmet, picked up his stick and shot a tennis ball into a net for his first two outdoor goals, with a little help from his dad.

Notice Andrew requesting a celly from his son, but Ames is too busy burying his second goal to dwell on his first accomplishment. He'll do well in his hockey career to continue that mentality.
Ames got a practice run with some floor hockey before the season started.

But his first outdoor twirl came at the Blackhawks family skate at the 2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic in St. Louis on Jan. 1.

Did we just witness the first outdoor goals for the top pick of the 2033 NHL Draft?
