Auston Matthews' mother, Ema, left no doubt who she was supporting at Air Canada Centre on Monday night, wearing a shirt with a cartoonish version of the Maple Leafs forward's face on it.
RELATED: [Complete Bruins vs. Maple Leafs series coverage\] Ema Matthews, who you may remember famously cried tears of joy during Auston's historic four-goal NHL debut against the Ottawa Senators in October of 2016, was shown after her son's big goal broke a 2-2 tie during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round series against the Boston Bruins. This time, when the cameras cut to Ema and her husband, Brian, the eyes were dry and the shirt was... obvious. If Ema Matthews is superstitious at all, it wouldn't be a surprise if that shirt comes out again for Game 4.
