Chychrun new Coyotes jersey

The Arizona Coyotes are bringing back the Kachina logo full-time this season.

The news was announced in a throwback style video that featured former Coyotes stars Keith Tkachuk, Jeremy Roenick, Shane Doan and Teppo Numminen.

White Kachina Jersey Release

The Coyotes wore the Kachina logo from their arrival in Arizona in 1996 until switching to the howling coyote head logo before the 2003-04 season.
Arizona previously had used the Kachina logo on its alternate jerseys, including its reverse retro jersey last season.
"We are extremely excited to launch our rebrand that is focused on our vision to become a long-term winning team in Arizona and our dedication to impact, inclusivity and innovation," Coyotes president and CEO Xavier Gutierrez said. "As always, we listened to our incredibly loyal and passionate fans, and we were overwhelmed by their love for the Kachina brand and desire to bring the logo and jerseys back on a full-time basis. Embracing the Kachina was an easy decision for us, and we are very proud to have one of the best logos and uniforms in the entire NHL."
The rebranding will feature the Coyotes wearing the white Kachina jersey for all 41 road games and the black Kachina jersey for most home games. They'll use their red howling coyotes head jersey for eight games at Gila River Arena.
The Kachina logo also will be
painted at center ice
for the first time this season.
The Coyotes open the season at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 14. They also will wear the white Kachina jersey for their home opener, against the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 18.
Arizona (24-26-6) was fifth in the eight-team Honda West Division last season and missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the eighth time in the past nine seasons; the top four teams in the division qualified for the postseason. They will play in the Central Division this season.
