Maple Leafs Recall Frederik Gauthier From Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has recalled forward Frederik Gauthier from the Toronto Marlies (AHL). In a corresponding move, the Maple Leafs have placed forward Mitch Marner (upper body injury) on the injured reserve list retroactive to February 15.

Gauthier, 21, has collected three points (two goals, one assist) in 18 games with the Maple Leafs this season while registering six points (one goal, five assists) in 26 games with the Marlies. Gauthier was selected by the Maple Leafs in the first round (21st overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
The Maple Leafs host the Winnipeg Jets at Air Canada Centre tonight at 7:30 p.m.
