The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that the hockey club has trimmed their training camp roster. The Maple Leafs now have 46 players (26 forwards, 16 defencemen and four goaltenders) remaining in camp.

The following eight players have been reassigned to their CHL teams: Zachary Bouthillier (Chicoutimi), Filip Kral (Spokane), Owen Lalonde (Guelph), Ryan McGregor (Sarnia), Roman Pucek (Sault Ste. Marie), Ian Scott (Prince Albert), Riley Stotts (Calgary) and Eli Zummack (Spokane). Jesper Lindgren has been loaned to HPK of Finland's Liiga.

The following 17 players have been reassigned to the Toronto Marlies (AHL) and will skate with the Maple Leafs Player Development Staff ahead of the Marlies' 2018 training camp, which will open on September 24: Matthew Bradley, Sean Durzi, Hudson Elynuik, Giorgio Estephan, Brady Ferguson, Alex Gudbranson, Mac Hollowell, Sam Jardine, Kasimir Kaskisuo, Stefan LeBlanc, Eamon McAdam, Griffen Molino, Ryan Moore, Zach O'Brien, JJ Piccinich, Scott Pooley and Kristians Rubins.

The Maple Leafs open their preseason schedule on September 18 when they travel to Lucan, Ontario for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Ottawa Senators as part of Kraft Hockeyville 2018.
