Maple Leafs Loan Garret Sparks to Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has loaned goaltender Garret Sparks to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Sparks, 23, owns a 18-7-0 record with a 2.08 goals against average, a .927 save percentage and five shutouts in 18 appearances with the Marlies this season. He played in 17 NHL games with the Maple Leafs in 2015-16, posting a record of 6-9-1 with one shutout. Sparks was selected by the Leafs in the seventh round (190th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
