SPORTCHEK-Soshnikov

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the team has assigned forward Nikita Soshnikov to the Toronto Marlies (AHL) on a long-term injury conditioning loan.
Soshnikov, 24, has appeared in three games for the Maple Leafs this season. He was recalled by the Maple Leafs on November 14 after registering five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 14 games with the Toronto Marlies to begin the 2017-18 season. Soshnikov has appeared in 70 career games with Toronto and recorded seven goals and seven assists. In 72 career AHL games, all with the Marlies, he has registered 43 career points (24 goals, 19 assists).
The Maple Leafs return to action tonight when they visit the New York Rangers at 7:00 p.m., while the Marlies' next game will take place on February 2 when they visit the Rochester Americans at 7:05 p.m.
