Victor Hedman named to equipment staff for the Atlantic Division

TAMPA BAY - Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman has been named to the position of assistant to the equipment manager for the upcoming 2018 Honda NHL All-Star Game and the 2018 GEICO NHL All-Star Skills Competition. Hedman was selected as an All-Star but will not be able to play due to an injury.

Hedman, veteran of 593 NHL games and being named to the All-Star Game for the second time, will assist head equipment manager Ray Thill, who also serves in the same position for the Lightning, in all aspects of equipment management for the Atlantic Division.
Hedman, a native of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden, comes from an equipment managing family. His father, Olle, worked as an equipment manager for MoDo Hockey in Ornskoldsvik for 23 years before recently retiring.
