Lightning select D Eamon Powell with pick No. 116

Powell had 11 points last season with the US National Team Development Program

With their fifth selection in the 2020 NHL Draft - Fourth Round, 116th overall - the Tampa Bay Lightning grabbed another right-shot defenseman, taking Eamon Powell from Marcellus, New York.

Powell is a freshman at Boston College.
With the US National Team Development Program Juniors in 2019-20, he recorded five goals and 11 points.
The 18-year-old Powell measures in at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds. He was ranked the 51st North American prospect by NHL Central Scouting entering the 2020 Draft.
