Prospect Report: Fortier continuing strong season

The Bolts' 2018 second round selection has recorded four points in his last two games

With an emphasis on drafting and developing, the Tampa Bay Lightning have created one of the strongest pipelines in the National Hockey League over the last few years. Each week, will provide statistical updates on key prospects throughout the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and will highlight select players from the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.


Gabriel Fortier (LW) | Baie-Comeau Drakkar, QMJHL
Drafted 59th overall (second round) in 2018
Fortier was named Second Star in Tuesday's 8-3 win over Chicoutimi, adding two goals (including the game-winner on the power play) and an assist. He now has four points in his last two games and sits third in Baie-Comeau scoring with 39 points.

Alexey Lipanov (C) | Kitchener Rangers, OHL
Drafted 76th overall (third round) in 2017
Lipanov scored the lone goal for the Rangers in their 8-1 loss Guelph on Sunday.

Radim Salda (D) | Rimouski Océanic, QMJHL
Drafted 206th overall (seventh round) in 2018
Salda is ninth in overall scoring and second in defensemen scoring for Rimouski with 12 points in 16 games.


Alex Green (D) | Cornell University, ECAC
Drafted 121st overall (fourth round) in 2018
Green has one assist in three games for Cornell this season and is currently out with an injury.

Cole Guttman (C) | University of Denver, NCHC
Drafted 180th overall (sixth round) in 2017
As a freshman, Guttman is currently tied for fourth in scoring for the Pioneers with 11 points in 12 games and his seven goals are tied for second.

Cole Koepke (LW) | University of Minnesota-Duluth, NCHC
Drafted 183rd overall (sixth round) in 2018
Koepke has eight points through 14 games as a freshman, and both of his goals on the season have come as game-winners to tie for the team lead.

Ryan Lohin (C) | University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Hockey East
Drafted 208th overall (seventh round) in 2016
Captaining the River Hawks as a junior, Lohin currently leads his team in points (11) and goals (6) through 10 games and has pointed in all but three of those games.

Nick Perbix (D) | St. Cloud State University, NCHC
Drafted 169th overall (sixth round) in 2017
Perbix's seven points in 14 games has him third in defensemen scoring as a freshman.

Ty Taylor (G) | University of New Hampshire, Hockey East
Drafted 214th overall (seventh round) in 2018
As a freshman for the Wildcats, Taylor is 0-2-1 through four games with a .874 save percentage.

Sammy Walker (C) | University of Minnesota, Big Ten
Drafted 200th overall (seventh round) in 2017
Walker is tied for second in scoring for the Gophers as a freshman with nine points in 13 games. On Wednesday, he was named to the 2019 U.S. National Junior Team preliminary roster for this year's tournament. 

Ryan Zuhlsdorf (D) | University of Minnesota, Big Ten
Drafted 150th overall (fifth round) in 2015
In his junior season, Zuhlsdorf has one assist through 10 games.

Points leader: Cory Conacher (27)
Goals leader: Andy Andreoff and Conacher tied with 10
Assists leader: Conacher (17)

Connor Ingram is 7-3-0 with a .918 save percentage and three shutouts through 10 games. With 20 points Alex Barre-Boulet is tied for third in rookie scoring.
