Nikita Kucherov logged points in 10 of the Lightning's 13 December games.

Beginning with a December 3 overtime victory against Toronto, Kucherov reeled off points in seven-straight games. Highlighting that stretch were back-to-back three assist performances in wins over Seattle and Columbus.

Kucherov closed the month with a goal and five asissts over Tampa Bay's final four games. He scored and added an asisst in a loss to the Red Wings and finished the stretch with a pair of assists in a New Year's Eve victory over Arizona.
Entering play on Wednesday, Kucherov's 40 assists are tied with Connor McDavid and Erik Karlsson for the most in the NHL. His 53 total points this season lead the Lightning.
