Blue Region

Oct. 18 - Buzzer Beater

We're still scratching our heads at how Steven Stamkos found room to one-time this pass from Victor Hedman past Florida's James Reimer and into the top corner for a game-tying goal with 5.5 seconds remaining. Stammer's sharp-angle shot salvaged two points for the Bolts, who would go on to defeat the Panthers in a shootout when minutes earlier it looked like they would their first loss of the season.
April 7 - No-Look Save

How exactly Andrei Vasilevskiy was able to make this early-game save on Montreal's Phillip Danault is a mystery. The Lightning goaltender was well out of position and had his back to the play as Danault attempted a wraparound into an open net. Instinctively, Vasy jammed his left leg on the post just in time to thwart Danault and keep alive the Bolts' faint playoff hopes.

April 7 - Throwing Hands

What do you do if you're a goaltender and you're desperately out of position while the opposition has the puck on the other side of an open net?
Why, toss your body across the goal mouth and hope for the best.
That's exactly what Andrei Vasilevskiy did to Montreal's Alexander Radulov in the next-to-last game of the season. Vasy threw his stick and both his hands toward the opening and got just enough of Radulov's shot to keep it out.
Dec. 10 - Leading Him On

You know the old axiom:Don't pass it to the man; pass it where the man will be?
Jason Garrison certainly does.
Midway thought the second period versus Pittsburgh, Garrison appeared to just be relieving pressure when he flipped the puck out of his own zone.
Except his pass landed directly into the path of Jonathan Drouin, who outraced Ian Cole to the puck, made a series of moves that left Matt Murray grasping for air and put the puck in the back of the net for one of the prettiest scoring sequences you'll see.
