The Winnipeg Jets recently welcomed a new player -- 10-year-old Connolly Gamble.

Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Gamble signed a one-day contract with the team and practiced with the Jets on Saturday, March 19. Gamble, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor that is not life threatening, was also able to get brothers Keegan and Joshua -- they are triplets -- on the ice for the practice as well.
Connolly chatted with the players, including his favorite Adam Lowry, in the locker room, and met Jets coach Paul Maurice and mascot Mick E. Moose. Gamble was introduced as the honorary first star after the game on Sunday, March 20, against the Anaheim Ducks and skated a lap around MTS Centre.
