Vegas' Military Appreciation Knight is a continuation of efforts by the Golden Knights organization to show their support for the armed forces. This past Saturday, members of the Golden Knights staff visited the 1-221 Cavalry Squadron at Nevada Army National Guard at Clark County Armory, the only combat Army unit in Nevada. Kerry Bubolz, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Alain Monroy, former US Captain and current Director of Global Partnerships presented the unit with a custom jersey with the name CALVARY on the back and a hockey stick signed by Golden Knights players. The following day, in celebration of the Nellis Air Force Base's "Aviation Nation Air Show," representatives of the Golden Knights visited the US Air Force Thunderbirds stationed at Nellis AFB. The Thunderbirds were also presented with a custom jersey reading THUNDERBIRDS and a stick signed by Vegas players.
Fans can purchase their own Golden Knights military themed hats and jerseys prior to Saturday's game at The Arsenal at City National Arena or at The Armory at T-Mobile Arena.
