After the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Anaheim Ducks, 4-0, on Friday night at Honda Center, forward Nicolas Roy dusted off a hockey cliché the summed up the win perfectly.
"I think the best defense is our offense," Roy said. "We were in their face the whole night and we kept the puck 200 feet from our zone."

Roy scored his fourth goal of the season Friday night as he continued a hot streak that's seen him record six points (3G, 3A) in his last eight games.
Belief in the team's systems spelled a virtually perfect effort for the Golden Knights in the win as they outshot the Ducks by a count of 51-16. Head coach Pete DeBoer said he was happy with the team's effort as Vegas continues to find its game leading into the playoffs.
"I like how we're playing," DeBoer said. "I like how we played in LA the other night. I liked how we played tonight. I think we're starting to feel like our game is going for longer periods in the right direction."
Robin Lehner stopped all 16 shots that came his way for his first shutout of the season.
